TAG- AIMS (Trans- ASEAN Global Agenda Education Program ASEAN International Mobility for Students Programme ) is a student exchange program between Southeast Asian countries and Japan during a semester. This is a good opportunity for students in ASEAN to have access to the education and culture of Japan.
This is also a favorable condition to share and exchange culture among students not only in Southeast Asia but also international students from all over the world at Tsukuba University, Japan. I would like to report the results of learning and activities for 5 months from April 2019 to August 2019 at Tsukuba University, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan under the Southeast Asian Students Exchange Program (AIMS) as follows:
- 1. Conditions for studying and living at University of Tsukuba
Tsukuba University is one of the oldest universities in Japan. Not only famous for its excellent teaching achievements, it often participates in the top 10 most prestigious schools in Japan. Tsukuba University currently has 31 member universities specializing in undergraduate and postgraduate training, 28 scientific research institutes and the number of students is about 20,000.
Learning conditions
Tsukuba is the school with the second largest main campus in Japan. According to the total area of the main campus is about 258 hectares. This is not a small number compared to universities in Japan and around the world. The classroom system is fully equipped with teaching aids. The system of laboratories and libraries was built with a large scale and science.
Living conditions.
The dormitory is fully equipped with facilities for students including air conditioner, bed, refrigerator, internet, ..
Each floor has 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 laundry room and 2 shared toilets.
The school has a supermarket and convenience stores located in the community center of the dormitory.
Average monthly cost of living is from VND 10,000,000 - VND 11,000,000 (including VND 5,000,000 for house rent and VND 6,000,000 for personal living expenses).

- 3. Extracurricular activities
Every Thursday night, we attend Asean Coffee organized by TAG - AIMS to create a playground for international students at Tsukuba University to learn more about the cultures in Southeast Asia and other countries. The purpose of this project is to develop friendship between nations.
Games such as puzzles, chasing words are organized to deepen knowledge of cultural and historical culture, increase cognitive ability and intelligence for players. There are also games such as flagging ... requires a combination of teammates, solidarity and a good foundation of physical strength. Through this, the students will understand each other as well as better understand the customs and cultures of other countries.

The trip was a great experience for myself, a valuable opportunity to gain knowledge, experience and learn the Japanese way of life, understand more about the culture of another countries, get acquainted with friends in the world. Not only that, Japan is a country rich in culture, history and beauty, so this exchange program is also an opportunity for me to explore more about new lands. I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Thuyloi University and the School of International Education ( SIE ), the TAG-AIMS program and the University of Tsukuba for helping me to have great experiences and learn many things in Japan.
